A closed session of the FFA Executive Committee was held at the headquarters of the Football Federation of Armenia, after which the FFA President Ruben Hayrapetyan answered the journalists’ questions.
Answering the question “Vardan Minasyan said at the post-game press conference of the match with the Czech national team that there was no problem of going to Brazil, and you had mentioned before that such a problem was set”, Ruben Hayrapetyan noted that the coach did not express himself correctly due to the influence of the moment.
“Vardan Minasyan noted that he did not say anything about going to Brazil. In fact, he did not do the right thing if he made such a statement. The collective is not a travel agency, and naturally a problem should be raised. Under the influence of the moment, he did not express himself correctly, which is not characteristic of him.
Please don’t get hung up on words. There was a problem before the team: to go to the final stage. However, I still consider Vardan Minasyan a professional, high-class specialist. Nothing has changed. You will see, under the leadership of Vardan Minasyan, the Armenian national team will achieve great success.
To be honest, it doesn’t matter to me whether the team takes the 3rd or the last place in the group. Other than the first 2 places, the rest doesn’t matter. I promise, very soon we will not have the team that will drag to take the 3rd or 4th place,” Hayrapetyan noted.
One of the questions raised during the press conference was whether Khoakin Bogosyan will not be invited to the Armenian national team, to which Hayrapetyan immediately gave a negative answer.
“In my personal opinion, Bogosyan has no right to wear the jersey of the Armenian national team, even off the field. He made fun of the national team many times, and we don’t need people like that in our national team. For example, Henrikh Mkhitaryan rents a plane at his own expense in order not to be late for the national team’s training, and we offer a ticket to Bogosyan, he says that he will go to his mother-in-law’s birthday,” said Hayrapetyan.
