The RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition has decided to resume and terminate the administrative proceedings initiated on the basis of the December 30, 2019 application of “VEON Armenia” and “Yucom” closed joint stock companies.
“Veon Armenia” company applied to the commission on May 6, 2020, stating that it is withdrawing its application and requesting to terminate the initiated administrative proceedings.
Taking into account that the applicant has given up his application in writing, the need to carry out the initiated administrative proceedings disappears, therefore the commission decided to terminate the administrative proceedings.
We remind you that by the commission’s decision No. 122-A of March 19, 2020, taking into account the state of emergency declared in RA, the period of implementation of the administrative proceedings initiated on the basis of the companies’ application was suspended.
As part of the proceedings, the commission conducted a large-scale study of the telecommunications sector, which will be published later.
