The Basra Oil Company announced today, Wednesday, the manufacture of oil well complexes by local hands.

The company said in a statement received by the (INA): “It supports local workers and gives them the opportunity to engage in the oil sector by contracting with private companies that have experience in this field,” noting that “the Zubair Field Operating Authority also had a role, as A contract was made with a private company that has proven its worth and efficiency in manufacturing complexes for oil wells as well as complexes for water injection.”

The company’s engineering projects manager, Hassan Al-Nasiri, explained, according to the statement, that “the mechanism for manufacturing well complexes, both types of oil and private, is through water injection,” stressing that “they are manufactured by 100% local hands and the labor rate reaches 98%.”

Al-Nasiri pointed out “the presence of equipment that he described as very advanced in accordance with international standards, including welding machines that perform submerged arc welding, as well as machines for cutting pipes and others,” pointing out that “all cadres were trained on this equipment, devices and models that were taken for examination in laboratories, and their results were impressive, according to recipe”.

He added that “manufacturing equipment inside Iraq has several benefits, including employing the largest number of Iraqi workers, as well as preserving the national currency,” noting that “contracts will be concluded with Iraqi companies, in addition to supervision that will be 100% by government agencies, and there will also be a shortening of time in completion of these projects.
