Kozhikode: The mother of the accused in the case of killing twins by throwing them in a well in Nadapuram has committed suicide. Subina Mumtaz, 29, was found hanging at her home in Vanimel Naripetta.
Subina killed her children by throwing them in a well on September 25. Subina then jumped into the well and tried to commit suicide, but was rescued by firefighters and locals.
Subina jumped into the well after calling her home in Vanimel and informing her that she had thrown her children into the well and that she had jumped into the well and was dying. Later, Rafeeq’s sister and mother, who were at home, heard the sound of Subina screaming as she grabbed the pipe of the motor pump set in the well.
