The private Czech company said it would provide know-how and help to start production.

Under the cooperation agreement, the two companies will produce 100,000 projectiles next year in both Ukraine and the Czech Republic, with the number growing to over 300,000 in 2026 to supply the Ukrainian military.

In July, the Czech Republic launched a second project to purchase ammunition for Ukraine, called Initiative 2025.

“More than a third of the 500,000 munitions that should be sent to Ukraine under the Czech initiative by the end of the year have already been delivered to the country,” Ukrainian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Vasyl Zvarych said in an interview with the Czech news agency ChTK , quoted by Ukrinform.

Zvarich noted that the Ukrainian soldiers mainly need 155 mm shells.

According to the ambassador, Ukraine is in talks with the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic to expand the initiative. He also emphasized that he has no information about any problems with the supply of ammunition, writes BTA.

The initiative also aims to become a tool for investment in Ukraine’s domestic production.

Zvarich also stressed that Ukraine should not be restricted from using delivered weapons to attack military targets inside Russia.
