Iran‘s nuclear facilities”/>
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, in a conversation with CNN, did not rule out the possibility of striking Iran’s nuclear infrastructure facilities.
“All options are on the table,” he said. “We have proven that Israel has the ability to hit targets close and long range. We will respond to an Iranian attack accordingly.”
As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, the United States made it clear that it opposes attacks on Iranian nuclear infrastructure. Galant noted that Israel is coordinating with Washington, but will make decisions on how to respond to an Iranian attack independently.
The defense minister also claims that Israel’s ground operation against the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah remains limited. He said the IDF had succeeded in “destroying much of the power” of the Shiite movement, which now “lacks command and control.”
Earlier, US Defense Department spokesman Patrick Ryder said that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin would receive Galant at the Pentagon on October 9 to discuss the security situation in the Middle East.
