How do we speak in Azerbaijani language? – project YüksƏL in Baku

The Baku Book Center has started autumn seminars for young people as part of the project Raise your handreports Day.Az with reference to Trend.

The first seminar on the topic “How do we speak our native language?” conducted by the director of the Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, professor Sevinj Aliyeva and TV journalist, honored artist Nargiz Jalilova.

The seminar was attended by students from Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, volunteers from the ASAN service, the Regional Development NGO, and the Youth Development and Career Center.

At the opening, the director of the BCC Gunel Rzayeva thanked the Executive Power of the city of Baku for its support in the implementation of the project. It was noted that the main goal of the YüksƏl project is to broaden the horizons of young people, increase interest in current problems and challenges, and help in deep knowledge of various topics. As part of the project, it is planned to hold regular seminars at the BCC.

Next, Sevinj Aliyeva and Nargiz Jalilova spoke about the problems associated with the modern Azerbaijani language. The speakers emphasized the importance of observing the rules of the literary language. It was noted that the text and its structure should be organized logically; attention should be paid to the verbal synharmony inherent in our language, word order and sentence structure. The speakers focused on the need to invite famous announcers and linguists who are fluent in the Azerbaijani language to television channels. It was noted that the agreement reached on a common Turkic alphabet will contribute to the development of ties between Turkic peoples and the protection of the languages ​​of these peoples.

After the presentations, an exchange of views took place, and the participants were able to ask questions that interested them. At the end of the seminar, all participants were given books on the relevant topic.
