Türkiye has introduced anti-dumping duties on imports of hot-rolled flat steel from major producers in Russia, China, India and Japan. The Turkish Ministry of Trade reported that it had analyzed the relevant transactions and came to the conclusion that pricing affects the interests of domestic industry and producers, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.
The measures introduced by the Ministry and published in the Official Government Gazette apply to almost the entire range of hot-rolled flat steel. In relation to Russia, additional tariffs will be applied to the import of steel from the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (6.1% of the customs value CIF, Cost insurance and freight), Novolipetsk Steel LLC (6.1%), other manufacturers, including PJSC Severstal ” (9%).
An additional anti-dumping duty of 9% is imposed on all exporters from Japan. A duty of 6.1% is introduced for Indian Tata steel. The largest tariffs were imposed on almost a dozen large steel producers from China. Imports of their products will be subject to additional anti-dumping duties ranging from 15.42% to 43.3%.
“It has been established that the import of hot-rolled flat steel is dumped and causes material damage to the domestic manufacturing industry. In this context and based on the conclusions obtained as a result of the investigation of the situation, it was decided to apply strict anti-dumping measures for imports on the list of relevant products,” the decision says Ministry of Trade of Turkey.
