Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed concern over recent Israeli airstrikes in Damascus, calling on Russia, Iran and Syria to take greater action to protect Syria’s territorial integrity.

Israel Info writes about this.

During a press conference for Turkish media, he noted that such actions pose a serious threat to the stability of the region. Erdogan also called Israel one of the most significant threats to peace not only in the Middle East, but throughout the world, emphasizing the need for an urgent and long-term peaceful resolution to the conflict in Syria.

Earlier, on October 7, Erdogan held telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the situation in the region was discussed.

Let us recall that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, returning from visits to Albania and Serbia, made a number of harsh statements about the situation in the Gaza Strip, calling what was happening there “genocide and a disgrace for humanity.”

He stressed that Israel poses a real threat not only to security in the region, but also to global stability. Erdogan called on world leaders responsible for maintaining peace to immediately “take action” to eliminate this threat.

The Turkish leader also said that those who support Israel, which he described as a “Zionist terrorist organization”, will bear moral responsibility for their actions to future generations. He expressed confidence that the plans of the Israeli leadership, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will fail, and the Palestinian Authority and Lebanon will retain their independence.

Erdogan noted Israel’s “destabilizing role” in the region, saying that its actions are not only directed against the Palestinian Authority and Lebanon, but also lead to the creation of a larger crisis. He stressed that the Turkish government is aware of these threats and is taking measures to neutralize them.

Erdogan paid special attention to the work of the Turkish intelligence services, which, according to him, closely monitor every Israeli step that poses a threat to Turkey.

Earlier, Kursor reported that Erdogan has intensified extremist statements about Israel.
