Halwash says that he has made this report on the basis of information received from those Afghan people who were part of this group trying to enter Iran. These people have seen their comrades being killed with their own eyes. The organization also shared a video showing the bodies of the victims, which it said were killed in the border area of Kalgan Sarwan on Sunday night. Halawash revealed that the group of migrants included more than 300 people. Only 50 of this group could survive. The rest of the group were killed in the firing.
Criticism of actions of Iranian forces
The report comes amid reports of harassment, torture and ill-treatment of Afghan refugees by Iranian forces. The actions of Iranian border guards have drawn strong reactions domestically and internationally. However, till now no comment has been made on this matter by the officials of the Taliban government of Afghanistan.
There are a large number of Afghan refugees in Iran but their situation is quite serious. Afghan refugees in Iran face human and basic rights violations. This has increased the concerns of international human rights organizations. At the same time, many incidents of firing to stop refugees on the border have taken place in recent months. This has increased the difficulties of the people of Afghanistan.
