Barnabás Balczó emphasized that the company has been successfully redesigned over the past year and a half. This is also confirmed by the international award received recently, which acknowledges that Magyar Posta was the fastest-developing mail in the world in 2023, making it the most successful in Central Europe in its category. This process also includes expansion of the mobile postal network with 50 new vehicles, he added.
He indicated:
There is a digitalization revolution in the world, to which Magyar Posta’s response is to reorganize the company so that the company is self -sustaining, ie taxpayers do not have to contribute to the company’s costs.
Some of the strategic transformations that are aimed at this have already been realized, the rest are doing well, he said, adding that they pay special attention to the only benefits of those who use their services.
That is why the Posta Partnership Program was established, which by the end of this year would be joined by about 850 businesses and municipal institutions, ensuring the full accessibility of postal services nationwide. By complementing this
also extended a widespread mobile postal network in Western Europe
he said.
Recognizing the development of logistics, the number of packages they delivered increased by about 10 million in two years, expected to 35 million pieces for 2024 as a whole, he said. He added that, in parallel, the development of the Ecseri package logistics central plant, which is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026, had begun.
The president and CEO recalled that the cooperation of Magyar Posta has a 30-year history with Porsche Hungaria Commercial Ltd.. The current fleet of the post office consists of nearly 4,000 vehicles, more than two -thirds of Volkswagen.
The car park will now be added to 50 new Volkswagen Caddy, and in November it will be planned to buy another 100 Volkswagen Crafters to make the winter top season and to deliver the Christmas packages smoothly
