AIBA Boxing Youth World 2012 70 countries applied for participation in the championship. The application period ended on October 26, and as of now the number of registered boxers alone reaches about 500.
Let’s remind that the 2012 AIBA Boxing Youth World Championship. the championship will be held in Yerevan. The capital of Armenia will turn into an international sports competition center from November 25 to December 8. Along with the announced 500 boxers, team leaders, doctors, trainers, AIBA officials and journalists will also arrive in Armenia. It is very possible that the number of guests arriving in Yerevan within the framework of the championship on those days will even exceed 1000.
Let us remind that in 2009 51 countries participated in the World Junior Boxing Championship held in Yerevan.
Armenia will participate in this championship with 14 boxers in all weight categories. Belarus (13), Congo (12), Cuba (10), Germany (16), India (19), Kazakhstan (19), Russia (19), Turkey (17), Ukraine (20) will also be represented in all weight categories. Uzbekistan (17). The participants of the AIBA World Youth Boxing Championship are young boxers aged 17-18 years in 10 weight categories: 46-49 kg, 52 kg, 56 kg, 60 kg, 64 kg, 69 kg, 75 kg, 81 kg, 91 kg, +91 kg.
