The Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, revealed a pleasant surprise to the Iraqis regarding the elimination of the most dangerous man who threatens the country’s security.
Al-Sudani announced the killing of “the governor of Iraq in ISIS” along with 8 of the organization’s senior leaders, stressing that there is no place in Iraq for terrorism.
Al-Sudani said in a blog post on the Hamrin Mountains.
He added, “We call on the heroes of all members of our security forces, and we affirm that there is no place for terrorists in Iraq, and we will pursue them to their hideouts and eliminate them, until the land of Iraq is cleansed of them and their sinful actions.”
For its part, the Joint Operations Command explained in a statement that the operation took place “with technical support and the exchange of accurate intelligence information by the international coalition forces at dawn today,” according to the “Shafaq News” website.
The command revealed “the killing of 9 terrorists, including the so-called criminal governor of Iraq, called Jassim Al-Mazrouei Abu Abdul Qader, and other leaders from the first line of ISIS, whose names and details will be announced later after conducting a thorough DNA examination.”
The statement also explained, “Large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and equipment were seized in 8 guest houses that were used by these defeated gangs,” noting that “the force was able to completely destroy them, and a large workshop for booby-trapping and manufacturing explosive devices was also destroyed,” stressing that the operation is still continuing. “.
The former Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, announced in December 2017 that the war against ISIS had ended after three years of fighting, and the militants had fled the country.
