This Wednesday Clara Brugada will lead the installation of Organizing Committee for the 2026 World Cup of Mexico City, which will have the coordination of all agencies.
The installation of the Organizing Committee, which will combine the efforts of the different local government bodies, will take place at 11 a.m. this Wednesday at the Hotel Catedral, located in the Historic Center, and will be headed by the head of Government, Clara Brugada.

“All the ministries are in coordination for this, with the Ministry of Works, with the Ministry of Mobility, with the Secretary of Economic Development“We are all going to be collaborating for one of the historic moments,” said the head of local Tourism, Alejandra Frausto.
A few hours before the installation of the Organizing Committee, Frausto highlighted that although the sporting event will also take place in Guadalajara and Monterrey, Mexico City, hand in hand with the Azteca Stadiumwill become the first venue to host a World Cup for the third time and its inauguration.

Likewise, the Secretary of Tourism capital stressed that Mexico will welcome all cultures and nations, a situation that does not happen in all countries.
“As the World Cup venue this is very important, that the teams are free to arrive, but also their fans, and here they know that they will be respected because this is a city where people are respected, no matter their religion, way of dressing or how they decide to express their free sexuality,” he stressed.
