The group warned that most of the materials propaganda electoral is made of plastics, which can take tens and hundreds of years to degrade, contributing to the plastic pollution that Mexico and the entire planet already suffers from.

It is estimated that the electoral garbage generated in these elections could reach up to 25 thousand tons just in the Mexico Cityaccording to data from the Foundation for the Rescue and Recovery of the Urban Landscape.

For this reason, I request that you make public the report that requires political parties and coalitions to calculate and make public their plastic footprint, that is, the amount of electoral propaganda materials printed so far, as well as a commitment to reduce this amount by at least 75% in the remaining weeks of the campaign.
