Islamabad: Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, head of Pakistan’s fundamentalist party Jamaat-e-Islami, has spewed venom regarding Kashmir. While addressing a meeting in Lahore, he instigated the party supporters for Jihad regarding Kashmir and said that Kashmir should be liberated not through slogans and advertisements but through Jihad. During this time he also targeted the government and army of Pakistan. Rehman claimed that former Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwa had compromised on Kashmir. Naeem ur Rehman said that during the tenure of PTI Chief Imran Khan’s government, General Bajwa had compromised on the situation in Kashmir. However, it did not say with whom the agreement was signed. He demanded the Pakistan Army to reveal the facts behind the removal of special status of Kashmir. Also said that it is their responsibility to tell the public. The Jamaat chief asked the government and the army to clarify their stand on Kashmir.

Nawaz Sharif also targeted

The Jamaat chief’s irritation did not stop here, he also targeted those in Pakistan who talked about improving relations with India. Recently, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and head of the ruling party PML-N, Nawaz Sharif had advocated improving relations with India.

Irritated by the talk of improving relations with India

Referring to Nawaz Sharif, Rehman put forward his poisonous plan and said, ‘Why is there talk of strengthening relations with India without Kashmir. Instead, why is the focus not being given to promoting relations with Afghanistan? During this, it was also confessed that terrorists are sent from Pakistan to spread unrest in Kashmir. He appealed to the people to give their property and lives for Jihad.

Pakistan’s Shahbaz government celebrated Sunday 27 October as Kashmir Black Day to please the fundamentalists of the country, but Hafiz Naeem was not happy with this. He said that by giving an advertisement the government cannot run away from its responsibility regarding Kashmir. He criticized the talks on Kashmir issue and said that if there was a solution through talks, the issue would have been resolved long ago.
