The Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Armenia presented the potential challenges to the EU ambassadors

The joint meeting of Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan with EU resident and non-resident ambassadors accredited to Armenia, as well as the head of the EU delegation, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos, was held.

At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan presented the measures implemented by the Government to address the primary needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Tigran Khachatryan referred to the importance of creating preconditions for the generation of own income through work for forcibly displaced people, as well as the importance of an effective solution to the problem of providing housing, emphasizing the need for support from the EU states in these directions.

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented to his colleagues the possible challenges that await Armenia in the context of different scenarios of possible regional developments, the ways to overcome them, and also touched upon the agenda issues of RA-EU relations. The Deputy Prime Minister particularly emphasized the implementation of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement and the need for effective implementation of joint programs developed under the EU economic and investment plan. Mher Grigoryan also reaffirmed Armenia’s desire and willingness to establish stable and lasting peace in the region.
