Erik Grigoryan cooperated with “Lidian Armenia”. b4b.am

The Ministry of Environment recently published a document proposing new inspections in Amulsar. This is an interesting fact, considering that Minister Erik Grigoryan was once accused of working with Lydian. It turns out that, on the contrary, the Prime Minister says there is no reason to disrupt the works, and the Minister of the Environment gives grounds for new inspections, b4b.am writes.

– Mr. Aloya, in the end, did Erik Grigoryan really work for Lydian?

– One of the British consulting companies working for us hired Eric Grigoryan to organize meetings with non-governmental organizations on the topic of Amulsar, as far as I remember, and to provide other consulting services in that field. He worked quite closely with us, was familiar with all our research and at least had occasion to tell us that he learned a lot from us in terms of environmental management.

– In other words, is he well acquainted with all the details of the program?

– I think if there is an official who knows very well that the EIA of the Amulsar project is the best, that the Amulsar project has applied exceptional environmental standards and does not need any additional inspections, it is Erik Grigoryan.

– In that case, how do you explain that, firstly, during this one year, Erik Grigoryan did not express a clear opinion about Amulsar, the Prime Minister claims that he was the one who said that he cannot guarantee the quality of the EIA, and now new research gives a basis.

– I can only assume that maybe it is a simple human complex. As if to prove impartiality, to deliberately pursue, target, attack Amulsar himself. As a result, the best investment of the country, the economy, the country suffers because of the personal agenda of some.

– Do you want to say, is there a manifestation of corruption in this regard?

– Judge for yourself. For more than a year, the Ministry has been sparing no effort, energy, time and resources on desperate attempts to identify non-existent problems in the Amulsar project. Have you ever heard of such ministry diligence in any other mine? You say, what is the name of subordinating the state interest to some personal problems?

– Are there inspections in Amulsar now?

– No, the roads are closed, the illegality has not been eliminated, the regular 500th discriminatory checks have not started yet.
