Christmas Gift: Pay it off earlier this year – How to calculate it yourself online

by time news

The countdown to ‍the payment of a Christmas gift to private sector workers across the state has begun.

The Christmas gift must be paid by 21 December each year. This year, however, since⁣ December 21st falls on a Saturday, ‌the gift‍ will definitely be paid ‌earlier, ie Friday, December 20th at the ‍latest.

According to current legislation, all‌ employees ‍who are employed in the private sector with an open-ended or fixed-term, full-time or part-time employment relationship with ‌any employer,‌ eligible for⁣ holiday gifts.

To then calculate the amount of gifts ‌the way employees are paid is taken into account, ‌ie ⁣whether they are paid a⁢ daily wage or a salary. The time period⁢ for which the Christmas Gift is calculated starts from 1 May to 31 ‍December each year.

Calculate⁣ your Christmas gift‍ online

The new online ‍application created by KPEA allows employees to ⁢calculate the Christmas Gift⁤ they are entitled to‌ on their own. Calculate what you will get at the link: http://kepea.gr/calc-doro-xristoygennon.php.

Therefore, ‍employees whose employment relationship with the employer has⁢ lasted without interruption for the aforementioned period, ie ⁤from 1 May to 31 December each year, are entitled to⁤ the full Gift ⁣which is equivalent to a month’s salary for ⁣salaried employees and 25 daily wages for the daily wage earners.

However, the above employees whose relationship with the employer did not last the full period of time (from 1/5 to 31/12), are⁢ entitled to receive a part of the gift that is proportional to the length of their employment relationship.

In⁤ this case, the Christmas gift is calculated as follows: 2/25 of the monthly salary or 2 daily wages – depending on how ‌they are⁤ paid – for every 19 calendar days of employment. Even employees who have worked for less than 19 days are entitled to a corresponding fraction of the gift.

Unless the work was provided without interruption for the period from 1‍ May to 31 December, this period also includes all the days on which the employees are ⁣legally absent from their work (e.g. on holiday annual,‍ on maternity⁢ leave).

In particular, in relation to‌ employee absence due to illness,⁤ the “three ⁤days of sickness” are included in the calculation period of the Christmas gift, ie the time of absence during which no sickness ⁣benefit is paid, and the periods which are paid gradually . the insurance company is subtracted.

Holiday gifts must be paid in cash only.
