The brazilian influencer Diego Ruzzarín, who has lived in Monterrey, Mexico for years and criticized for his position against the regime of Nicolás Maduro, will participate in the Concert of Hope, an event organized by state media RTVCwhere he will hold a conference on geopolitics.
Ruzzarín, who studied at Tecnológico de Monterrey and obtained a master’s degree in Food Design in Italy, is recognized for his views on social and political structures.
Since 2018, through his YouTube channel, he has discussed philosophical and political topics, accumulating more than one million subscribers. Before dedicating himself to social networks, he worked for more than four years at PepsiCo and now, on his digital platforms, he often attacks governments like that of Javier Milei in Argentina.
However, it was his participation in a podcast with president Nicolás Maduro and his controversial views on Venezuela before and after the elections which earned him multiple criticisms from his followers.
Before the Venezuelan elections in early July this year, Ruzzarin’s comments on the matter maduroWho described him as a “strange dictator” because “he was campaigning and looking for votes”, caused a wave of criticism among his followers.
““It seemed very strange to me to see a dictator campaigning and seeking votes”, the influencer had said through his channel. “Traditional propaganda that goes so far as to demonize any country that is slightly sovereign and defends its interests and its people against imperialist tooth and claw (…) calls them authoritarian dictators.”
Ruzzarin thought about it “What I saw in venezuela seemed very normal,very traditional, very far from how propaganda actually portrays him.

TFollowing the results of the Venezuelan electoral elections, Widely questioned by the international community due to accusations of fraud by the opposition, Internet users began to complain about Ruzzarín for his silence in the face of the political and social crisis that the country is experiencing under the regime.
RTVC has ensured that Ruzzarí will participate in an event in Bogota, Thursday 5 December at the facilities of the Public Media System, and afterward He will arrive in Buenaventura to give a conference on December 7 which will be broadcast by Signal Colombia.

Diego Ruzzarín: Absolutely. My comments were sparked by observing the political climate in Venezuela, especially during the recent elections. I noted that maduro’s campaigning seemed atypical for a dictator, which lead me to question the portrayal of authoritarian leaders in media. It’s crucial to dissect what we label as propaganda and challenge our preconceived notions.

Diego Ruzzarín: It’s a significant responsibility that I take seriously. I believe in fostering open discussions and providing a space where differing viewpoints can be examined critically. This is vital in today’s global landscape, where misinformation can spread rapidly. my goal is to encourage people to think critically, nonetheless of the topic.
