Chandigarh: The Punjab cabinet has been expanded. 10 were sworn in as ministers.
Following the Aam Aadmi Party’s victory in Punjab, Bhagwant Mann became the Chief Minister in the last 16 years. The next day all the MLAs took office. They were administered the oath of office by the caretaker Speaker Inderbir Singh.
In the Punjab cabinet, 18 ministers can be appointed, including the chief minister. As the cabinet was expanded today (March 19), 10 ministers were sworn in. Today, Harbal Singh, Baljit Kaur, Harbhajan Singh Ido, Vijay Singla, Lal Chand, Gurmeet Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Laljit Singh Pullar, Braham Shankar and Harjot Singh were sworn in as ministers. They were sworn in by Governor Banwar.
The following afternoon, the first cabinet meeting of the new government is scheduled to take place.
