/ The Secretary of the Non-Oil Exports Working Group in the Iranian Azerbaijan Province announced the export of 1.5 million tons of goods in the first seven months of the current fiscal year until October 2023.
Azmaei said, in a statement to Fars News Agency, that non-oil exports through East Azerbaijan exceeded 1.5 million tons worth $824 million, with a quantitative growth of 14.8 percent and a price growth of 1 percent over the previous corresponding period (2022).
He added that the goods flowed mainly to Turkey, Iraq, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Bulgaria, and included steel beams, tar, oil and petrochemical derivatives, and copper.
He pointed out that “the governorate’s imports in the seven months recorded 362 thousand tons worth 876 million dollars, with a quantitative growth of 14 percent and a price growth of 25 percent on an annual basis.”
