On August 11, the government of Armenia allocated more than 6 million dollars for the organization of the concert of rapper Snoop Dogg. According to the justification of the decision, the specified amount will be used to pay Snoop Dogg’s royalties, technical requirements of the artist’s team, security and insurance costs, ensuring high-quality technical equipment and implementation of promotional activities.
As civilnet.am writes, the implementation of the project will be ensured by the company “Doping Space” without a tender. “… in other words, “Doping Space” was not chosen due to competition between event organizers. In any case, there is no information about any such tender on the Armeps platform of the procurement system.” The media also notes that “Doping Space”, according to the electronic register of legal entities, was founded at the beginning of last month, on July 4. 51 percent of the company’s shares belong to Makar Petrosyan, the son of former RPA deputy Aleksan Petrosyan (Alik of MAP). The other shareholder of the company is Hayk Simonyan, the founder of the “Doping” advertising agency.
