NPP director Eduard Martirosyan does not agree with the claims that our energy is Russian. “Companies with different capitals are now working. Since the nuclear power plant was built in the Soviet era, the specialists also went to school in that era. We have specialists who have been working at the nuclear power plant since its opening and are quite professional,” Martirosyan told reporters.

He also added that training activities are being conducted with various large nuclear power plants and our specialists are being trained there.

Martirosyan added that the nuclear power plant will be operated until 2026. Now we are preparing a government decision to extend the period of operation.”
