Sidaction: the fight against AIDS is still topical

On March 25, 26 and 27, Sidaction is held, an annual television fundraising event for this association, which equally finances research programs and associations for the aid of patients and prevention, in France and abroad. . This event is an opportunity to take stock of the fight against HIV-AIDS.

Overshadowed by the Covid-19 pandemic, AIDS remains a major public health problem, which has so far resulted in more than 36.3 million deaths since its discovery in the early 1980s.

Delay in screening, difficulty in accessing PreP… What are the difficulties in taking care of patients? How has the current health crisis had an impact on the fight against AIDS?
