After Maccabi Tel Aviv’s impressive victory over Real Madrid, tonight (Friday) a number of additional meetings took place in the Euroleague. Monaco played first and defeated Basconia 68:78, later Olympiacos defeated Villarban 80:94.
Monaco – Basconia 68:78
The French team completed a third consecutive victory (Thursday in the last six games) and came close to the Yellows in sixth place. A fantastic second quarter by the French (13:24) arranged the victory, as the guest could not come back from behind. Will Thomas stood out with 16 points on the winning side.
Wheelerban – Olympiacos 94:80
The Greeks impressed, recovered from the loss in the previous round and approached Real Madrid in second place. The meeting was close, but in the last quarter the guest managed to escape to the French, who returned to Suram. Ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv Tyler Dorsey excelled with the winner with 21 points and seven rebounds.
