The shooting of ‘Powerstory’ directed by Omar Lulu and starring Babu Antony has started in Kannur. Presented by Royal Cinemas and Joy Mukherjee Productions, the film is a full-fledged action thriller. Babu Antony returns as the hero after ten years. The switch-on ceremony of the film was held in the presence of thousands of spectators at Payyambalam beach, Kannur.
The film focuses on action only and tells the story in the context of the drug mafia. Omar Lulu said the film’s storytelling would have focused on action only, without the heroine, romance and comedy scenes. Babu Antony will be seen in a mass look with long hair and earrings of a cross on his ears. The story and screenplay are by the late famous screenwriter Dennis Joseph.
Earlier, the director had said that the look of the film is reminiscent of the old look of Babu Antony, who was once an integral part of Malayalam cinema. Apart from Babu Antony, Riyaz Khan, Shammi Thilakan, Abu Salim, Shalu Rahim, Aamir Niaz and Harish Kanaran will play the lead roles. The film will be released in theaters.
