Also yesterday, Tiruvottiyur legislator KP Shankar held talks with officials. Similarly, North Chennai MP Dr. Veerasamy, who is on a visit to Delhi, had personally petitioned Central Railway Minister Aswini Vaishna to drop the demolition project until alternative housing could be provided for people who could be demolished.

There was further unrest in the area today as JCP machines were brought in on behalf of the railway department to demolish houses again.

Following this, Seaman was given first aid and taken to hospital. Seaman returned home after returning to normal after first aid. In this case, Chief Minister MK Stalin telephoned Seaman to inquire about his health. “I would like to express my gratitude and love to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin for calling me on the phone and inquiring about my health,” Seeman said on Twitter.
