Poland’s Iga Sviatech defeats Japan’s Naomi Osaka at the Miami Open.
The Miami Open tennis series is taking place in the United States. In the women’s singles final last night, 20-year-old Ika Sviatek of Poland clashed with 24-year-old Naomi Osaka of Japan.
Osaka, who dominated in the beginning, then revealed a stumbling block. The first set was won by SwiTech 6-4.
Following that, Sviatech showed action, not even taking a point in the second round. He thus won the second set 6-0.
This is the 17th time that SwiDech has won the Miami Open tennis series. This is his 17th consecutive victory.
