Fans are disappointed as theater owners have announced that actor Vijay’s Beast will not be released in Karur.
Actor Vijay’s Beast has generated a lot of anticipation among the fans. Many theater owners are competing to screen the film as it will be released in theaters for 4 consecutive days on government holidays.
According to 7 theater owners in Karur, 70 per cent of the commercial distribution for Beast was done by distributors and only 65 per cent.
The theater owners said they had decided not to screen the Beast movie due to a 5 per cent stake in the deal, which had dragged on for the past 3 days.
Theater owners, who explain that most of the films currently coming out will have their collections halved as they are released on ODT and TV in the 3rd week, as they usually get only 55 to 60 per cent of the distributors’ share, while the Beast movie will suffer a huge loss if they ask for an additional 10 per cent for Beast. The theater owners have explained that a situation has developed where screening is not possible.
In this case, the Karur Cinemas Twitter page has officially announced that the Beast movie will not be released in theaters under the Karur Corporation.
At the same time, it has been reported that in a few districts, some theaters are buying and screening Beast films, with deals ranging from 70 per cent to a maximum of 85 per cent.
