PARIS, June 20, 2025

Hot on the heels of summer, the French media landscape is experiencing a flurry of changes. High-profile journalists are switching channels and radio stations, creating a buzz across the industry.

The transfer window is open, and the moves are coming fast and furious.

  • Léa Salamé is moving from France Inter to France 2’s evening news.
  • Anne-Sophie Lapix leaves France 2 for the M6 group.
  • Paul Larrouturou joins France Info from TF1.

What’s all the excitement about? The most significant move involves Léa Salamé, who is leaving her morning show duties at France Inter to helm the 8 p.m. news on France 2, a shift that will take effect at the start of the next school year.

Salamé’s Big Move

Salamé’s move is one of the most talked-about changes. She departs France Inter, where she began in 2014 and co-hosted with Nicolas Demorand since 2017. Though BFMTV courted her, she chose to remain within the familiar walls of France Télévisions, where she had previously hosted programs like The political program, Amazing!, and What an era!, which significantly boosted her profile with viewers.

Lapix to M6 Group

Anne-Sophie Lapix’s departure from France 2, where she presented the 8 p.m. news for eight years, was previously announced. She will be joining the M6 group in September. Lapix will be juggling television and radio, hosting the “18-20 hour” news segment on RTL and a weekly Sunday interview on M6. She will also be involved in special event coverage on M6, particularly during upcoming elections, as announced by the channel.

Larrouturou’s Radio Return

Paul Larrouturou, after nine years with the TF1 group, including a notable stint on TMC’s Daily, is joining public radio to conduct the 8:30 a.m. political interview on France Info alongside Agathe Lambret. Larrouturou previously worked in radio, including the early 2010s on RFI’s The Crossroads of Europe. After experiments on the web and social media, he’s returning to radio.

Other Notable Changes

Marie Portolano will return to television as the new host of Kindergarten from France TV, replacing Agathe Lecaron after nine seasons. The show will move to France 4 at the start of the school year and will air from Monday to Friday in the late afternoon. Salhia Brakhlia announced she’s leaving France Info, where she hosted the political interview for the past five years. Olivier Minne will leave Fort Boyard at the end of the current season to join M6. Marc-Olivier Fogiel is returning to RTL to host a program, and Éric Brunet is back on LCI.
