In the shadowy world of Nagpur, Maharashtra, illicit desires have ignited a war within the Ippa gang. Arshad Topi, a member of the gang, found himself entangled in a passionate affair with the wife of the gang’s chief.
Their secret romance took a tragic turn on Thursday when the couple was involved in a road accident while riding a two-wheeler. The woman succumbed to her injuries on Friday, leaving Topi to face the wrath of his former comrades.
A City-Wide Manhunt
Fueled by suspicions of foul play, the gang leader is determined to bring Topi to justice. Approximately 40 gang members have spread throughout Nagpur and the neighboring Kamptee suburb, seeking to avenge the woman’s death.
The gang suspects that Topi orchestrated the accident to eliminate the woman, making it appear as an unfortunate incident. This belief has deepened the rift within the gang, turning friends into enemies.
The Fatal Accident
According to Nagpur Police officials, Topi and the woman were riding a motorcycle when a JCB struck them near Suradevi temple behind Koradi Mata temple. Topi sustained minor injuries, but the woman suffered severe trauma.
A patrol vehicle from the Koradi Thermal Plant transported the woman to a private hospital, but she was denied treatment. She was then taken to another hospital in Kamptee, which also refused admission.
Desperate, Topi paid an ambulance driver to take her to Nagpur’s Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). CCTV footage shows Topi with the woman at the hospital. Sadly, she died on Friday. News of her death reverberated through the city’s underworld.
Seeking Protection
Fearing for his life, Topi sought protection at the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP)’s office in Pardi on Friday. “Sensing danger to his life, Topi rushed to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP)’s office in Pardi for protection on Friday. Considering the seriousness of the situation, the DCP sent him to the Koradi police station, where his statement was recorded,” a police official said.
Police investigations suggest that the woman’s death was accidental, with no evidence indicating Topi’s involvement. However, Topi has gone into hiding to escape the vengeance of the gang members.
