Owls Kick Off 2025 Season at Home, Face Tough NE10 Competition

Southern Connecticut volleyball head coach Lisa Barbaro has officially announced the Owls’ schedule for the upcoming 2025 season. The Owls will host their season opener with a tri-match that includes St. Thomas Aquinas and Jefferson, marking the first of ten home dates. This schedule promises a robust in-person experience for Owls fans.
Early Season Road Tests and Home Opener
Following the initial tri-match, Southern Connecticut will travel to Caldwell on Sept. 9. The Owls then return to Pelz Gymnasium for another tri-match on Sept. 13, hosting Queens and Holy Family. The team faces a demanding stretch with two consecutive weeks on the road. First, they head to Philadelphia, Pa., for a tri-match against Jefferson and Millersville on Sept. 20. This is followed by a trip to Worcester, Mass., for a tri-match against Felician and Assumption.
October Conference Play Begins
Southern Connecticut welcomes Dominican to campus on Sept. 30 before a road trip to Molloy on Oct. 3. Northeast-10 Conference play officially commences with consecutive home dates. The Owls host Assumption on Oct. 10 and Saint Michael’s on Oct. 14. The schedule then shifts back to a road-heavy period, with four straight away games. These include visits to Bentley on Oct. 17, Pace on Oct. 21, Post on Oct. 23, and Franklin Pierce on Oct. 28.
Closing the Regular Season at Home
The Owls are set to finish the regular season strong at home, playing three of their final four matches on familiar territory. Southern Connecticut hosts Southern New Hampshire on Nov. 1. They then travel to American International on Nov. 7. The team returns home to face Adelphi on Nov. 11. The regular season concludes at home on Nov. 14 against Saint Anselm, with Senior Day festivities scheduled to begin the match.
