Nevada County media unveils Spooktacular October Lineup of Events

Nevada County Media (NCM) is gearing up for a thrilling October, offering a diverse range of Halloween-themed events – from a large-scale haunted house to family-friendly trick-or-treating and a unique spooky storytelling initiative – all designed to entertain and raise funds for its internship programme.

A haunted House to Benefit Future Media Professionals

From October 17th, 18th, 24th, and 25th, 2025, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, NCM will host Nevada CountyS largest indoor haunted house, spanning 10,000 square feet. Admission is $10, with cash preferred due to potential card reader issues. Located at 355 Crown Point Circle in Grass Valley (behind Analog Devices), the PG-13 scarefest promises “terrifying twists and turns.”

According to a company release, the haunted house isn’t just about frights; it’s a crucial fundraiser supporting the Nevada County Media Internship Program. Those interested in contributing their time are encouraged to volunteer and “give us a scream” to join the behind-the-scenes fun.

For younger ghouls and goblins,NCM will host a free trick-or-treating event on Wednesday,October 15th,2025,from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM inside the NCM Lounge. The event is open to all ages and will feature a festively decorated space with plenty of photo opportunities.Organizers advise attendees to arrive early,as candy supplies are limited.

It’s meaningful to note that the haunted house will not be open during the trick-or-treating event, and the festivities are confined to the lounge area. the event will proceed rain or shine.

Share Your Spooky Tale for a Good Cause

NCM is also inviting community members to participate in its Spooky Stories Recording Event on Wednesday, October 8th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Participants can share their bone-chilling stories on video, with the option of wearing a costume.
