LIV golfers Contend at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship amidst stormy Conditions

A important contingent of LIV Golf players are making their presence felt at the DP World Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, with 16 members of the breakaway circuit still in contention after two rounds played across the challenging courses of carnoustie, Kingsbarns, and the Old Course at st andrews. Despite heavy rain and strong winds impacting play on Friday,the tournament was further disrupted on Saturday due to intensifying winds from Storm Amy,forcing organizers to reduce the tournament to 54 holes – a format familiar to those competing on the LIV Golf circuit. The third round will now serve as the final round,with play tentatively scheduled to resume on sunday.

Oosthuizen Leads the Charge

Currently, Stinger GC captain Louis Oosthuizen is leading the LIV Golf charge, sitting in third place at 11 under par. He trails only compatriot Richard Sterne and local favorite Robert macintyre by a single stroke. the leaderboard reflects a strong showing from the LIV contingent, signaling their competitive edge even within the DP World Tour framework.

One of the most recognizable names in golf, five-time Major winner Brooks Koepka, is also in the mix. Despite a challenging year by his standards, Koepka is tied for 15th at eight under, demonstrating a potential resurgence in form.
