The names of the MPs were included under the Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme (ICGS).
The names of MPs facing sexual harassment charges have not been released. There are reports that there are cases that can be considered criminal offenses in the complaints lodged with the ICGS. The allegations against the MPs came shortly after Tory MP Imran Ahmed Khan resigned following his conviction in 2008 for sexually abusing a boy.
It is alleged that several MPs paid bribes to women members for sexual exploitation. Earlier this month, Tory MP David Warburton made allegations of sexual harassment and cocaine use. The Guardian reports that the ICGS will evaluate these allegations. At the same time, Warburton reportedly withdrew from the allegations.
An unnamed government spokesman told the Sunday Times that the allegations were “serious”. These range from sexually intentional behavior against MPs and ministers to serious misconduct. ICGS was set up in 2018 as an independent agency with cross-party support to hear complaints against MPs and ministers.
In the last few days, there have been allegations that an MP watched a pornographic video inside the House of Commons, the lower house of the British Parliament. A Conservative MP in the UK Parliament has been accused of watching a video on his mobile phone while sitting in the House on Wednesday. A woman MP had alleged that the MP had seen the video sitting next to her. The MP’s name has not been released.
