Initially, investigators focused on a red Ford Fusion, manufactured between 2013 and 2020, believing it to be the vehicle involved. Authorities released images of the car, noting potential damage to the driver’s side mirror. However, the investigation has since shifted, and police are now searching for a red 2016 Hyundai Sonata.

Dr. Das recently relocated to Kansas City from Arkansas to pursue a fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Family members shared that he consistently biked home from the hospital, and last Wednesday was no different. The incident has deeply affected his friends and colleagues.
