“The president attacked me and lied about me,” Greene responded, asserting that Trump’s actions were intended “to set an example and scare all the other Republicans before the vote on the Epstein documents.” She further stated, “It’s amazing how much he is fighting to stop” the release of the files, despite her significant past support. “I supported Trump with much of my precious time and money, and I fought for him almost all the other Republicans had turned their backs on him.but I don’t serve Trump.”
Calls for Transparency and a DOJ Investigation
The dispute highlights a growing divide within the MAGA movement regarding the handling of the Epstein case. Representative Thomas Massie, alongside Democratic colleague Ro Khanna, has spearheaded efforts to force a House vote on the publication of documents related to Epstein through the “Epstein Files Transparency Act.” Trump dismissed Massie as a “loser” who consistently opposes the Republican party.
Trump has also renewed his attacks on individuals he claims were associated with Epstein, including Bill Clinton, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, and investor Reid Hoffman, as well as JPMorgan Chase.
