Thiruvananthapuram: Popular Malayalam actor and producer Vijay Babu has been expelled from the Malayalam Actors’ Association following a complaint of rape by the actress. Vijay Babu is a leading actor and producer in Malayalam cinema. A few days ago, a young actress lodged a rape complaint against Vijay Babu with the Kochi police. In it, Vijay Babu claimed that he was given an extra chance to act in films and that he was brutally raped by the hotels, who brought him to the apartment. He also complained that he was trampled and beaten once when he refused to have intercourse. Kochi police have registered a case against actor Vijay Babu. Meanwhile, the late Vijay Babu has filed a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking pre-bail. Police are taking serious action to arrest Vijay Babu in this situation.

Police, who have already sent look-out notices to all airports, have also sent him an e-mail notice asking him to appear immediately for questioning. Police have also issued a notice to his wife in Kochi. Meanwhile, the executive committee meeting of the Malayalam Actors Association was held in Kochi yesterday. At this meeting it was decided to remove actor Vijay Babu from the executive committee.
