The Oscar-nominated world-famous Children of Heaven Akka Kuruvi, directed by Iranian director Majeed Majeed, has been remade in Tamil. Akka Kuruvi is directed by Sami, who has directed the films Uyir, Mrigam, Sindhu Samaveli and Kangaroo. Varsha Bollamma comes in the guest role. The theme is based on two shoes.
