Allison Reid delivered a standout performance in the women’s Mile,securing a fourth-place finish among a competitive field of 48 athletes across four sections. Her time of 5:11.09 not only surpassed her previous personal record (PR) of 5:15.20, set at the Fastrack National Invite on February 7, but also established the third-fastest Mile time in Hofstra program history.
According to team records, only Jordyn McDonnell (5:00.6 at the 2023 Seahawk Shootout) and Bella Richards (5:05.66 at the 2020 Fastrack Last Chance Invite) have run faster Miles for the Pride. This achievement underscores Reid’s dedication and potential as a key athlete for Hofstra.
Strong Showing Across the Board in the Mile
Reid wasn’t the only Hofstra runner to excel in the Mile. Isabella Gerena achieved a personal best time of 5:19.59, finishing in 10th place. Macy Neider placed 13th with a time of 5:28.68, while Tori Good crossed the finish line at 5:30.16 for a 15th-place finish.Natalie Campisi also delivered a strong performance, running a personal-best time of 5:32.94 to secure 18th place.
