Lukansk regional governor says 60 people have been killed in an airstrike on a rural school in eastern Ukraine.
Speaking on the occasion, Lugansk Regional Governor Sergei Guido said, “The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a school in Plovdiv, killing at least 90 people and wounding at least 90 others. Fear has arisen. ”
Rescue workers were unable to work continuously last night due to threats of further attacks by Russian forces, so rescue operations are still ongoing today. Also, a house where 11 people were staying was attacked in the neighboring village of Sheplivka. The governor said rescue teams were still searching for survivors.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24, has been going on for more than 70 days. Russia, which initially attacked all cities, including the capital Kiev, is now hitting parts of eastern Ukraine hard.
