Details of the Allegations
According to the complaint, Smith was “intentionally grooming the violinist for further sexual exploitation.” Joseph detailed a disturbing incident involving a break-in to his hotel room during the tour. He alleges that upon discovering the intrusion, he found HIV medication, a red backpack, and a beer bottle left behind. A handwritten note reading, “Brian, I’ll be back… just the two of us,” further heightened his fear.
“I feared that a stranger would come to his room and perform sexual acts on him,” Joseph stated.
The violinist reported the incident to hotel security, local police, and tour management, but claims his concerns were dismissed. Shortly after, he was fired from the tour. He is now seeking compensation for both emotional and financial damages.
