Charlestown Mourns the Passing of Gerard, beloved Family Man

A close-knit community in Charlestown, County Mayo, is in mourning following the peaceful passing of Gerard at his home on Airport Road. The loss is deeply felt by his extensive family and a wide circle of friends and neighbors.

Gerard’s passing leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his wife, Emmanuel, sons Stephen, Conor, and Donal, as well as daughters-in-law Collette, Amanda, and Edel. His memory will also be treasured by his grandchildren – Luke, James, Conor, Emma, Jack, Dylan, and Holly – along with numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Gerard’s Life and Passing

Gerard, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, dedicated his life to his family and community. He was a beloved grandfather to seven grandchildren: Luke, James, Conor, Emma, Jack, Dylan, and Holly. Gerard passed away peacefully at his home on Airport Road, surrounded by the love of his family. A removal service will proceed from his home on Saturday to St. James’s Church in Charlestown for a Funeral mass at 11:00 AM.
