Gerard’s Life and Passing
Gerard, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, dedicated his life to his family and community. Funeral Arrangements and Remembrance
Funeral arrangements have been announced to allow family and friends to pay their respects. Viewing will be held at the Horkan Funeral Home in Charlestown (F12D393) on Friday evening between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM. A removal service will proceed from his home on Saturday to St. James’s Church in Charlestown for a Funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Following the Mass, Gerard will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. For those unable to attend in person, the Funeral Mass will be live-streamed at https://mcn.live/Camera/charlestown. The family has requested privacy at their home during this arduous time and has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice at https://www.hospice.ie/donations/in-loving-memory/.
