For four decades, the World Food Prize has celebrated innovators dedicated to alleviating hunger and improving nutrition worldwide. To date, 56 individuals – including farmers, scientists, policy makers, and humanitarians – have been recognized for their work. The most recent laureate, Brazilian soil scientist Mariangela Hungria, was honored for her groundbreaking advancements in biological nitrogen fixation, a process that dramatically improves the sustainability of soil health and crop nutrition in tropical agriculture.

Who Can Nominate?
