“Divas of Soul” Concert to Celebrate Iconic Women of R&B at UA-Pulaski Tech

A high-energy tribute to the legendary women of soul and R&B, “Divas of Soul,” is coming to UA-Pulaski Tech on Tuesday, February 3, at 7:30 p.m.The concert promises an evening of powerhouse vocals and timeless hits.
A Night of Soulful Celebration
CeCe teneal, an award-winning vocalist, will headline the event at The Center for Humanities and Arts (CHARTS).Teneal will guide audiences through five decades of music from some of the most influential female artists in history. The performance will feature the commanding anthems of Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner, the disco brilliance of Donna Summer, and the pop-soul classics of Whitney Houston.
Expect to hear fan favorites such as “Midnight Train to Georgia,” “Respect,” “I’m Every Woman,” and “River Deep, Mountain High” performed live. The concert aims to capture the essence and enduring legacy of these iconic performers.
local Talent to Enhance the Performance
Adding a unique local dimension to the show, the North Little Rock High School Choir, under the direction of E.Jade Keathly, will open the performance.The choir will not only perform as an ensemble but will also serve as accompanists throughout the evening,enriching the musical experience.
CeCe Teneal: A Global Vocal Force
Based in Florida, CeCe Teneal has established herself as a formidable force in the music industry, performing in over 47 countries. She is a four-time Autonomous Music Award nominee, with accolades including wins for Best Gospel Song and Best R&B Album for Train from Osteen. Her career highlights also include headlining the 2019 Citrus Bowl halftime show and receiving an official day of recognition from the City of Orlando and Orange County in 2022.
