The move comes shortly after Engel parted ways with former pro Philipp Kohlschreiber in mid-December.

joining Fischer in mentoring Engel will be Dieter Kindlmann,a 43-year-old coach with an extraordinary pedigree. While Kindlmann reached a career-high ranking of 130 as a player, his post-playing career has been marked by significant success in player development. He is widely respected within the tennis community for his expertise.

Kindlmann’s resume boasts collaborations with some of the sport’s biggest names, including a period as a constant training partner for five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova, and coaching roles with current world number one Aryna sabalenka and former world number one Angelique Kerber. Most recently, he worked with Swiss player Dominic Stricker, whose progress was unfortunately hampered by injuries.

Kindlmann echoed this sentiment, noting, “Justin Engel is one of the most interesting and best youth tennis players in the world. I am very happy to be part of the team. In addition to my coaching work on the ATP and WTA Tour, it has always been a matter of the heart for me to bring talent forward during my time as a coach at Swiss-Tennis.”

Strategic training Locations and Enterprising Goals

kindlmann will continue to reside in Switzerland,traveling to train Engel at various European training centers based on the tournament schedule.Engel himself has recently relocated to Monaco, where he will train alongside Fischer at the same tennis club as Alexander Zverev.
