Health Minister Ma Subramanian has said that omega PA4 corona has been detected in Tamil Nadu.
He told a news conference, “There are 7 types of coronavirus that have been diagnosed with a new type of coronavirus called PA4. PA4 is one of the seven types of Omigran.”
A man from Nawalur in Chengalpattu district has been diagnosed with a new type of corona infection and is currently recovering. No one in contact with him was infected. The family of the person concerned is being examined and monitored.
PA4 corona found in African countries has also been found to be prevalent in Tamil Nadu. The Central Government will clarify whether the Omicron PA4 Corona type is prevalent in other states, ”said Minister Subramanian.
Earlier in the day, the first case of PA-4 corona infection in India was detected in Hyderabad last Thursday.
