AEW Women’s Roster: New Signings & Updates

by Sofia Alvarez

After a signing spree in 2025 and early 2026, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is reportedly planning to add even more wrestlers to its roster in the near future.

Fightful Select reported Wednesday that AEW is aiming to expand, notably on the women’s side, with new signings designed to refresh the current talent pool.

The outlet also noted that AEW has already secured commitments from several wrestlers, though thier identities have not yet been publicly revealed.

Did you know? – AEW was founded in 2019 by Tony Khan, Shahid Khan, Cody Rhodes, and The Young Bucks. It quickly became a major competitor to WWE, offering an alternative wrestling product.

In recent months, AEW has brought in Andrade El Idolo, Jake Doyle, The Rascalz, Clark Connors and tommaso Ciampa, with Ciampa capturing the TNT title last Saturday on Collision. The promotion has also established working relationships with CMLL, resulting in the addition of Mascara Dorada and Persephone.

These new acquisitions follow the departures of several AEW performers, including Powerhouse Hobbs, who debuted with WWE at the Royal Rumble.Throughout 2025, high-profile wrestlers such as ricky Starks, Miro, Rey Fenix and Malakai Black also moved on from the company.

Pro tip – Wrestler departures and signings are common in professional wrestling. Promotions often adjust rosters to maintain competitive balance and storyline freshness.

The reasons behind these departures vary. Starks reportedly sought a larger role and financial opportunities, while others, like black, expressed creative frustrations. Miro cited a desire to spend more time with his family. Fenix’s departure was linked to injury and contract negotiations. Hobbs’ move to WWE signaled a desire for a different platform.

AEW’s strategy appears to be a proactive response to these losses, aiming to bolster its roster with fresh talent and maintain its position as a leading wrestling promotion. The focus on the women’s division suggests a commitment to expanding opportunities for female performers within the company.
